Bogdan Klinkosz

DVM, Founder

Dr.Bogdan Klinkosz came from Poland in 1993 as a Research fellow for the Dept. of Neurology, Cleveland Clinic, to do research regarding amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He conducted many experiments that culminated into a large scale clinical trial in North America and helped advance the treatment for that illness.

After 5 years, his desire to help animals and the joy he received from the interactions with clients and their pets proved to be a major factor in changing career paths. He is a fully certified DVM in USA, Canada, and in the European Union. He studied in Poland, Germany, and Sweden, and has prior education in Pharmacy. Dr.Bogdan has a special interest in ophthalmology and alternative medicine. He is a member of:

Karim Malak

Karim Malak

DVM, Owner

Dr. Karim Malak graduated from St. George’s University in 2016 and fulfilled his dream of becoming a practice owner in August of 2023. He always wanted to make an impact in the community through the care of clients’ animals, in a way that was not possible in corporate veterinary medicine. He has a strong love for soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal med and dermatology. Karim is an Ignatius graduate and grew up in the Cleveland area so he is excited to work in this community. His hobbies include basketball, traveling, comedy shows and hikes with his pomsky; Athena.

Laura

Office Manager

Laura is a local girl who was raised in Shaker Heights. She attended both Ursuline College and John Carroll University and majored in business communications. She has over 20 years of veterinary administrative experience and has a lifelong passion for animals. She has rescued both cats and dogs for over 35 years and is currently the pet parent of 3 rescued dogs and four cats. She is also a married mother of three amazing sons and has seven grandchildren. In her spare time, she spends time with her family, hikes, bakes, gardens, sews, and enjoys iced Dunkin Donuts mocha lattes with coconut milk.

Rebecca

Veterinary Technician

Rebecca was born & raised in California. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at San Joaquin Valley College in 2019. She recently moved to Ohio to continue working in the field of veterinary medicine. Rebecca is studying to take her RVT exams here in Ohio. Her love, compassion and expertise for and with animals show in her own personal pets. She has 5 rescue cats & dogs, 3 of which are special needs. She loves to collect Pokemon cards and Squishmallows. Her favorite drink is strawberry milk tea.

Miranda

Veterinary Assistant

Miranda has grown up with dogs. Working in a clinical setting each day is different with new adventures/challenges. She has a Bachelor of Science in biology and plans to attend veterinary school. Her love for all animals has influenced her desire to attend veterinary school. It is a dream she has had since she was 5 years old. She has a chocolate lab named Remi. And, her favorite food is pierogis.

Jessica

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica began her veterinary career in 2011, when she completed her Veterinary Assistant program at Lakeland Community College. She briefly left to explore the field of phlebotomy in human medicine. She did that for several years when she decided to return to veterinary medicine in 2017. Jessica has 2 beautiful children and a loving boyfriend that keep her very busy. She also has a rescue pup named Mosa. She loves doing family activities, especially anything outdoors, including camping, swimming and summer fairs. Her favorite food is crab legs (she doesn’t even need butter!).

Lori

Receptionist

Lori comes to us from outside veterinary medicine. She had been in inventory control for 35 years as a specialist. She also graduated in 2010 as a pharmacy technician. Her amazing personality and organizational skills have brought her to us. She is a pet lover, and the owner of 2 rescued cats named Benjamin & Zowie. Lori is an avid reader. She also collects vinyl records (1960’s – 1970’s classic rock and jazz). Her collection spans 600 albums and counting. Her favorite food is Mexican.

Scott

Receptionist

Scott spent 35 years in human medicine doing MRI’s at Georgetown Hospital in Washington DC and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His fun personality makes him a great addition to our team. He loves gardening and home renovation. Scott has rescued Pugs for 35 years and currently has 2 very adorable ones named Charlie & Edna. His motto is “The Best Pets are Rescue Pets”. He loves ice cream drinks.

Peggy

Kennel Assistant

Peggy is a local girl who grew up in Euclid. She has always had pets in her life. Peggy worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 years. Also, she volunteered with the infamous Dorothy Mack at the Euclid Animal Shelter for many years. She has worked with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, skunks, squirrels, and even assisted with a mountain lion and her cubs! Peggy likes gardening and decorating in her spare time. Her favorite food is steak.
